Buyer Obligations

When you purchase a watch, you are committing to the purchase as soon as the seller accepts the sale, and you acknowledge that payment of the listing price will be taken from your payment method, or you will be required to initiate payment within the specified time period.

To be an eligible buyer, you must have a billing address and shipping address within the United States. In general, we charge your payment method immediately upon purchase, and when the transaction is complete, we pay the seller. For wires, you will receive detailed instructions on how to initiate payment. You will not receive any interest on the purchase amount while the transaction is being fulfilled.

You might be required to pay certain fees as described when completing a purchase, as updated from time to time. If your payment fails or is rejected for any reason (e.g., purchase exceeds the credit card limit, the card is canceled, chargeback is requested), The Timepiece Finder reserves the right to do any or all of the following, at its sole discretion:

1. Charge your payment method up to 15% of the transaction amount as a service fee;

2. Cancel any or all of your pending orders through the Service;

3. Withhold refunds or payments due to you;

4. Place limits on your buying and selling privileges;

5. Charge your payment method for costs, expenses, and fees incurred as a result of the failed payment; and

6. Temporarily or permanently suspend your account.

If you experience a problem with your purchase, please contact us at help@thetimepiecefinder.com within 2 days after receiving the watch with a detailed description of the issue. The Timepiece Finder verification tags or stickers that are attached to watches must not be removed, or the watches will not be eligible for return or exchange under any circumstance (including damage in transit).

Buyer Protection Policy

Is it safe to buy with The Timepiece Finder?
Absolutely. We strive to be the most trusted marketplace for luxury watches. That’s why we support every purchase through our Buyer Protection Policy, which is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

This policy allows us to better serve you before and after your purchase. Whether through The Timepiece Finder Credit or a full refund, we’re here to help if something goes wrong.

When Does the Buyer Protection Policy Apply?

You are covered if your item is:

Received and inauthentic;

Received, but does not match the item description or images;

Received, but is the incorrect item;

Received, but missing a key feature; or

Never delivered.

If any of the above applies, contact us within 2 days of receiving your watch at help@thetimepiecefinder.com or through your Orders page on our website or app.

What Happens After I Submit a Claim?

Once your claim is submitted, a The Timepiece Finder support specialist will follow up within 1–2 business days.

If your item qualifies for return under the policy:

We’ll send you a prepaid shipping label.

You must ship the item within 2 business days of receiving the label.

The item must arrive back in the same condition in which it was sent to you to be eligible for a refund or credit.

Counterfeit Items

If your watch is determined to be counterfeit, you agree to cooperate with our investigation and final resolution. This may include:

Providing photos or documentation;

Turning the watch over to law enforcement;

Returning the item to us; or

Destroying the item and providing proof of destruction at our direction.

We will refund or credit you in full (including shipping and handling) for verified counterfeit items. You may not resell any item reasonably believed to be counterfeit, whether on The Timepiece Finder or elsewhere.

Refunds and Credit

If a refund is issued:

It will be returned to your original payment method.

Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear on your billing statement.

Alternatively, we may offer The Timepiece Finder Credit for immediate use. If accepted, the credit will include the full price of your order, including shipping and handling fees.

Seller Accountability

We ensure seller trustworthiness through:

Digital authentication of listings, including reviewing item photos and descriptions before the item is listed.

Rejecting items that do not meet our standards.

Providing The Timepiece Finder shipping labels to ensure end-to-end order tracking.

What If a Seller Cancels My Order?

We have strong policies in place to discourage seller cancellations. If this occurs, The Timepiece Finder will work directly with you to find a resolution, including sourcing a replacement whenever possible.
